20 minutes on - 5 minutes off

When kids have a lot of homework to do, several hours can be overwhelming to think about...we made a 20 minutes on and 5 min snack break part of the routine and it makes the time go much faster.

A very useful tip
by: The editors

Thank you for a great idea. Many children just can't realistically sit and concentrate for such a long period of time without a chance to stretch, snack, or drink.

It's a great idea to schedule breaks if the homework will take more than 20-30 minutes to complete.

Ultimately, that break may help the child complete the homework even better and faster.

Best,
